Sekur Data: the overlooked cybersecurity gem Wall Street forgot — but maybe not for much longer

Date:

In a market saturated with overhyped startups and empty promises, Sekur Private Data Ltd. (CSE: SKUR | OTCQX: SWISF) is quietly building something real — and in 2025, that matters more than ever.

Privacy is the new digital gold

Between governments, corporations, and individuals increasingly paranoid about data leaks, ransomware, and mass surveillance, privacy is no longer a luxury — it’s a global necessity. Sekur positions itself as one of the only truly private communication platforms, offering encrypted email, VPN, and messaging without relying on Big Tech infrastructure.

While everyone else is still using Gmail and Zoom, Sekur is built on a “zero-knowledge” architecture: no data collection, no third-party storage, and zero backdoors. For businesses and privacy-savvy individuals, that’s a major advantage.

What Makes Sekur Different

  • 🇨🇭 Swiss Hosting: Outside of U.S., Canadian, and EU jurisdictions, protected by the world’s strictest privacy laws.
  • 🔐 Zero Data Collection: Sekur doesn’t sell or mine user data. Full stop.
  • 📧 SekurMail with SekurSend: A proprietary email system that allows secure communication even with non-Sekur users.
  • 🛡️ SekurVPN: Fully independent, with no metadata logging or resale.

Recent Momentum: Price Adjustment, Share Movement & ARPU Growth

Sekur’s stock recently climbed approximately 145% between late June and mid-July 2025 (from ~CAD $0.055 to a peak of $0.135), according to StockInvest.us. It experienced a 4.5% pullback on July 16, 2025, while maintaining weekly volatility around 35%, significantly above the tech sector’s usual 7–10% range.

On July 16, 2025, Sekur announced updated pricing across all of its privacy services, reflecting sustained demand and a move toward higher-tier business subscriptions.

“The new pricing will apply to all new subscribers and roll out across all services, including SekurMail, SekurVPN, and SekurMessenger,” the company said in this official release.

This shift underscores Sekur’s ability to revise pricing sustainably — uncommon among smaller tech players — and could increase average revenue per user (ARPU) by over 50% in H2 2025. Price increases range from +35% to +110%, with Premium and Corporate users seeing the largest changes due to added BEC (Business Email Compromise) protections and advanced VPN safeguards.

CEO Alain Ghiai confirmed that updated pricing would be paired with improved service bundles and that existing customers would retain their current rates — signaling a focus on long-term growth while supporting the current user base.

Private Placement & Africa Expansion

In late June 2025, Sekur Private Data closed a CA$1,703,461.75 (approx. US$1,192,423.22) non-brokered private placement, with significant insider participation including officers and directors—highlighting internal confidence in the company’s expansion plans. The funds are allocated for growth in the US, Europe, and Africa, strengthening Sekur’s global positioning.

As part of this expansion, Sekur appointed Christophe Kabeya as Director of Government & Corporate Sales for Central and Southern Africa—covering the DRC and Angola, with a combined population exceeding 150 million and among the highest global cyber-attack rates. Kabeya brings over 25 years of regional finance and government relations experience, helping Sekur establish local partnerships and public sector presence. Full operations are expected by September 2025, supported by local telecom collaborations.

Financial Snapshot: Revenue, Funding, and Outlook

Sekur reported consistent subscriber growth in Q1 and Q2 2025, especially from B2B customers. On June 30, 2025, the company closed a non-brokered private placement of CAD $1.61M (USD $1.13M) with direct participation from company insiders.

Quarterly revenue remains modest (pending official Q2 numbers), but Sekur is managing costs effectively and growing without relying on large-scale dilution or debt — uncommon in the tech space. Management says the new funding provides adequate runway for upcoming quarters.

With minimal institutional exposure, early retail investors may benefit from any increased market recognition.

So… why isn’t everyone talking about it?

Because Sekur doesn’t follow trends. No influencer campaigns, no blockchain pivot, no buzzword chases. But informed investors are beginning to notice the gap between Sekur’s tech depth and its current valuation.

“People are sleeping on Sekur. No debt. Solid tech. Real development. Ultra-tight float. What more do you want from a $20M company?” — u/DigitalSuisse

Why Sekur Has 2025 Growth Potential

  • 🧱 Strong Foundation: Directly addresses phishing, surveillance, and AI fraud risks.
  • 📈 Attractive Valuation: Market cap under $10M USD with a recurring-revenue model.
  • 🌍 Global Relevance: Especially in regions where privacy protections lag.
  • 🤝 Enterprise Potential: Even a small number of B2B contracts could shift revenue significantly.
  • 💼 Scalable Business Model: Updated pricing supports improving margins and product value.

TL;DR

Sekur may not be grabbing headlines — but its focus on privacy, sustainable pricing, and international expansion could position it for a notable year ahead.

With a lean structure, well-regarded leadership, and infrastructure hosted under strict privacy laws, Sekur is building methodically for long-term relevance.

If digital privacy matters in your investment thesis — this is one to keep on the radar.
